Today, Jason and I hiked two trails at Lone Tree Bluff just outside of Whitewater, again in the Kettle Moraine. What an intense hike!
Right at the start of the trail up the bluff was an insane set of stairs. Not only was it a steep climb, but some of the steps required a huge step up just to get to the next one.
At the top of the bluff, the trail seeminly ended…unless you looked very closely. The rest of the trail was rather overgrown, but we kept hiking. We really put the treds on our hiking shoes to the test! We continued hiking until the trail disappeared among the trees, then turned back around. Overall, the bluff trail was a serious workout for the legs.

We finished by hiking a trail along the base of the bluff. It was such a beautiful day to be outside. So far, I’m loving our Sunday hikes!

Next time you go, give Ryan, Logan and I a call…we were just talking about going on a hike through the kettle moraine.
