Sunday Hike: Ice Age Trail, Whitewater Lake Segment

May 10, 2010

This past Sunday, we headed out to explore a local portion of the Ice Age Trail. The trail, which will eventually wind throughout Wisconsin, runs through much of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. We decided to hike a portion of its Whitewater Lake Segment. It was a little chilly out, but a beautiful day none the less.

It was a very nice hike and I’m excited to explore more of the Ice Age Trail.

Looks like you had a lot of fun on the Ice Age Trail! I’m going to be in Wisconsin this summer for a friend’s wedding, and several people have told me about this trail. I will definitely have to check it out if I can!

I have lived all my life in a town right by the trail and have only recently discovered it. I’m so glad we’ve started taking advantage of it – it’s a great trail. It really highlights the beauty of WI. Enjoy your trip out this way!
