Happy Anniversary Jason!
In the last three years, you’ve taken me on the best adventures ever. I can’t wait for the excitement the next several years will bring us. Here’s to more fabulous journeys in the years to come!
This week marked the fifth anniversary of my dad’s passing. January 14th, 2006, my dad suffered a massive stroke. What followed were the two longest weeks of my life during which my mom and I practically lived at the hospital.
January 27th, 2006, my dad passed away.
My dad was one of a kind. Everyone knew him. He always had a good story to tell, and he seemed to know everything that was going on in our small town. He worked for the same car dealership his whole life, starting there when he entered college. He became a salesman and a darn good one at that. He loved his job, and his customers loved him.
I was a daddy’s girl through and through. Anyone who ever met my dad wound up knowing a lot about me, whether they ever met me in person or not. My dad was my greatest fan.
I miss my dad everyday. Even though I was an adult when he died, I still needed him – I still do need him. He was the greatest dad a kid could hope to have, and I’m proud that he was mine.
